Dr. Fátima Sancheznieto, PhD, is an associate researcher at the Institute for Clinical and Translational Research (ICTR) at the University of Wisconsin–Madison School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH). She also directs and coordinates the career and professional development of graduate students in the Interdisciplinary Biological and Health Sciences Consortium at SMPH.
In her experience as a practitioner, evaluator, and researcher, Sancheznieto is interested in the development, implementation, and testing of career and professional development initiatives for early-career researchers from the graduate student to the junior faculty level.
As a transgender, neurodivergent, and Latina scientist, she works to empower graduate students and postdocs in their training environments and mentoring relationships.
