Facilitator Training

Facilitating Entering Mentoring

This training is offered as a two-day in-person workshop, as well as a six-session online workshop designed to increase the capacity for research mentor training at colleges and universities, research institutes, and organizations. Training is typically offered online in January, February and March and in person in the spring and summer months.

Audience: Faculty, instructors, staff, or administrators who are committed to implementing research mentor training

Format: Online, up to 24 participants; in person, up to 32 participants. Privately hosted and publicly hosted by CIMER.

Facilitating Culturally Aware Mentoring

This train-the-trainer workshop is designed for those who want to implement the Culturally Aware Mentoring workshop at their institution or organization. Training is typically offered once per year and is open to individuals who meet the prerequisites.

Audience: Faculty, instructors, staff, or administrators who are interested in implementing Culturally Aware Mentor training.

Pre-requisite: Culturally Aware Mentor Training and either Entering Mentoring facilitator training or experience leading culturally responsive inclusion workshops. 

Format: In person, publicly hosted by CIMER.
