CIMER’s Advancing Mentorship Program (CAMP)
CIMER is pleased to announce an innovative program to advance mentorship in science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medicine (STEMM).
Mentorship matters now more than ever. The rapidly changing research landscape and increasing uncertainty about the future of research careers and institutions elevate the need to provide career and psychosocial support to emerging researchers. For those mentoring graduate students, postdoctoral trainees, and junior faculty, federal requirements for mentor training and mentoring plans have increased demand for effective, efficient mentorship education.
Objective
Participants will be empowered through deep and sustained learning in a community of peers to optimize their ability to provide high-impact, holistic mentorship that benefits all individuals and bridges opportunity gaps in research training environments.

Implementation
CIMER’s Advancing Mentorship Program (CAMP) will run from February 2026 to October 2026 and will consist of 28 total hours of programming. As a cohort, participants will meet online monthly for 2 hours. In May, the cohort will gather for a required 1.5-day in-person meeting in Madison, WI.
