Stephanie House is a researcher and curriculum specialist in CIMER at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Her role includes a mix of research, curriculum development, facilitation and administration.
Since joining UW–Madison in 2009, House’s work has included curricular authorship, leadership of two randomized controlled trials (testing the efficacy of mentorship curricula), and facilitation of communities of practice. House also has an appointment with the UW Institute for Clinical and Translational Research (ICTR) Workforce Development Core, working on local mentorship initiatives.
House has made contributions to numerous National Institutes of Health (NIH) grants focused on scientific workforce development, including the 10-year National Research Mentoring Network (NRMN).
Prior to working at UW, she worked in research, teaching, language interpretation, and social service provision. She received an MA in Anthropology from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 1998.
